Onboarding with WinAuth

WinAuth may not be an approved software in your workstation environment. Please check with your administrator.

Download WinAuth and save it to a folder of your choice. WinAuth requires no installation (and thus no admin rights). It is a single executable file, so can be run from a USB drive or stored and run from cloud files services.

Note: Starting WinAuth from a network drive may not work properly!

When you use WinAuth as your authenticator application, you cannot scan the bar code that is shown to you when you first log in. No problem, here is what you do instead.

Log in to trackSpace with your username and password.

You will be presented with the following screen:

Close the modal dialog by clicking on the 'X' in the upper right corner. You will see this screen then:

Click on the link "Problems scanning the QR code?"

The page will create and show your secret key:

You will need this secret key every time you use WinAuth. Do not forget to save it in a secure place like a password manager.

Now start your WinAuth application. It will display this:

Click on the "Add" button and select "Authenticator":

On the next screen, type in a name for your configuration (you can manage more than one) and enter the secret key that is shown on the web page.

Now click on "Verify Authenticator". The first PIN will be created and the 60 seconds clock starts running, indicated by the green progress bar underneath the created PIN.
